Update

Mazi and Harley are now sharing a home! : ) For the most part they get along and yes, they do get a breather from one another by having out of the cage time on a daily basis.
Mazi is in love with Hubby! He readily will step onto his hand and loves to spend time with him. I can handle him at times...still nips when it is time to get back into the cage tho'.
Harley has shifted his adoration from my husband to me in the last few months, I try to handle him although I am not very trusting of him yet. It makes it easy to "handle" him since he is stick trained to step up tho'. I am not giving up.....I am determined to make him my lil buddy that won't nip.

Quiet week

Mazi enjoying some fresh corn! Mazi is one bird who will try to eat anything once!
Got some nice shots of Bailey outside.

Thats it for now. I will try to get some more pics this week and make them a bit more interesting.

Coming Along

The tiels are doing really well with their time out of the cage! They actually are enjoying the cuddles and scritches!
Hubby and Mazi sharing some love. Poor Mazi was caught in the storm that went thru unexpectedly to me! Below you will see poor sad looking Mazi.

I love this pic the best! He looks so sad!

New babies to love!

Bird above is Weezer, one of my new tiels! They have been here for a few weeks now. Weezer is a rather nervous birdy.....acts like she is wheezing everytime I handle her or something surprises her....hence the name Weezer. Her previous owners did not name her at all....kind of sad don't ya think? I am slowly getting her used to being handled. I really don't think it will take long.
Tilly is such a sweetheart! She will already call for me, unlike Weezer she does like to be held
She doesn't holler like Weezer does when one is out of the cage. Tilly is such a tiel! So very gentle and loving.

Bailey has been enjoying his time outside this week. Lots of birds to "chat" with have been in and out of the yard.
Jessica treated Bailey to some tortilla chips! Bailey loves junk food a bit too much!

Quiet Days

Fids have been rather quiet lately, of course I have been busy getting the kids moved out and into the air....they moved to England.
We did move Bailey into our room in hopes of him not plucking his chest feathers again! I am so glad we did since there was quite a bit of commotion going on for a couple of weeks. He seems to have quit plucking and I am sure to spend some quiet time with him everyday. he also enjoys his outdoor time as well.
The sennies have not been bothered by all the commotion going on here, they used it to their advantage and showed off quite often when people would come into the house. I do need to get them back to their out of the cage time tho', they really haven't had any time out of the cages lately.
I also need to handle them daily again! Ouch! I know I am going to feel a few bites coming my way!

Stormy Days

The weather has been rather stormy in our area sooooo the poor fids have been inside a great big chunk of the time. Bailey sure has missed his outdoor mornings in his tree. I think the big storms have kind of spooked him as well as I noticed he has started picking on his chest again! Sheesh, just when we thought that was over. I will have to give hime some extra play time....thinking fo moving him into our bedroom too. It is much quieter in there and he can be reassured to know I am nearby.
The sennies have been quiet lately. I did notice that Harley has been busy making a nest out of the paper I put in there! I really need to get a good schedule put together for some out of the cage time for all three of them. Harley loves to scare the other two so I need to take them out at different times. No pics this week of the troop.

Our Life in Words

Finally a blog for the fids! I am hoping to add a ton of pics and stories of our life with birds! For now I will sleep! It's late and I am very tired.
We shall see you bright and early......the fids make sure of that!
